Story
Line :
The
Good Dinosaur tells of a dinosaur family that lived hundreds of millions of
years ago. There is Henry and Ida, a pair of Apatosaurus dinosaurs who have a
farm and are waiting for three eggs that will soon hatch. The eggs are small,
medium and large. When small eggs hatch, the dinosaur exits with a moderate posture
named Libby. When a medium-sized egg hatches, larger dinosaurs come out (named
Buck). When the largest eggs will hatch, Ida and Henry indirectly think they
will get a bigger baby from Buck, but their guess is wrong. Although the size
of the egg is very large, which came out was only a small dinosaur (Arlo).
Unlike
his two older brothers, Arlo has a cowardly nature. To be able to overcome
these fears, the father was then gave the spirit as well as work to Arlo to
keep their corn granules are often stolen by a thief who is not known origin.
In his guard, Arlo caught the thief who turned out to be a caveman boy. Unable,
Arlo frees him so that his father tells Arlo to chase him along, but because
the storm is so devastating that Arlo's father finally dies and this makes him
very sad. After the incident, Arlo rediscovered the thief and chased him, to
follow the direction of the river that flows until Arlo away from his home. In
an effort to get back home, he had an exciting adventure with the caveman, Spot.
During
the adventure, Arlo and Spot help each other out. Arlo's timid and very minimal
experience to explore the jungle helped by Spot to brave the challenge. Spot
not only helped Arlo when attacked by a venomous dragon, but also helped from
the famine crisis. While lost in the woods, Spot helps provide the food Arlo
needs. Conversely, when Spot caught herd of ancient eagles to eat, Arlo help
with all the energy to Spot can be saved. He was even willing to suppress fear
in the face of storms and rushing streams, in order for the Companions to
survive.
After
a long and tiring journey, Arlo finally decided to find a way home and invite
Spot to meet with his family. However, in the end, they parted ways because
Spot followed his family and Arlo made it back home to gather with his family.
Review :
After
watching this movie, I am interested in the story of Arlo who is told as a
cowardly dinosaur, from here we learn that we should not have excessive fear of
something or in the face of a problem. We have to convince ourselves that we
can do it and never be afraid to get out of the comfort zone, because if we can
imagine it, then we can do it. In addition, this film has advantages in terms
of image quality produced. The film is displayed as well as possible so that
the audience can assume that it is as if the scene is really real. However, the
disadvantage I feel lies in the plot part of the story because it is somewhat
predictable by adults, but it does not become a serious problem because the
film is focused on children. So, I think there's nothing wrong if you try to
watch this movie.
