Burasa’
is a typical food from the region of South Sulawesi, which has a more savory
taste of Uduk rice. However, Burasa’ wrapped leghtwise with banana leaves.
Burasa’ made with a blend of rice and coconut milk. Make Burasa’ very easy and
simple with materials that easy to get. Burasa’ usually served during Idul
Fitri eid and Idul Adha eid. To make Burasa’ materials and tools required are 1
liter of rice, ¾ liters coconut milk, salt to taste, banana leaves that have
been dried, straps for fastener.
To make Burasa‘ steps
that must be taken is the first, wash the rice with water until it is
completely clean and until the water of the wash looks clear, steamed rice that
has been washed until half cooked, lift ind insert into the washbasin, then
pour coconut milk and salt to taste evenly with rice that is halft cooked until
coconut milk absorbed. Next steam back rice that has been stirred with coconut
milk until cooked and tender for about 15-20 minutes, then lift. Chill Burasa’
which has been steamed. After cold, wrap Burasa’ use banana leaf to wrap
Burasa’ then tie with a raffia strap 3- 4 bond (do this process to complete). Next,
boil for 3-4 hours (Burasa’ must be completely immersed in water, when the
water shrinks add water again). Finally, lift and serve.
