| English Education Department 2016 UINAM after the inauguration |
In order to inaugurate the student PBI of UINAM force
2016, new students of English Education majoring held inauguration at one of
Makassar's luxury hotel, Swiss Belinn on Friday night (19/05/2017).
The event took place since at 07.00 pm, themed The Light
Gathers Us. One of the members of the publication and documentation division,
Andi Zahra Amalia said, "Our reason is that we take the theme because it
matches the name of our generation and as FLASHL16T can enlighten our fellow
generation and those around us in a better direction."
In accordance with the theme, they show Handmime which
became the main performance to display the name of the force of PBI 2016 that
is FLASHL16T. In addition, the inauguration was also enlivened with vocal group,
percussion, theater, contemporary dance, and traditional dances such as Paduppa
dance, Toraja dance, and 4 ethnic dance.
"To succeed the inauguration as desired, we
collected funds of 23 million rupiah obtained from the fundraising used to pay
for ballroom, cosmetology, coach, consumption and stage properties," said
the committee chairman, Rahmat Ramadhan, after the lecture.
"But we will not be able to carry out this activity
without the assistance of the department, HMJ, Estetika, seniors, and sponsors,
because we are the first time to hold such an event," he added.
This inauguration was attended by more than 800 invited guests, reaping a
lot of praise from several parties, both from the department of PBI and from the
other majors.
Dr. Kamsina, M. Pd. I. said that she was very proud of the preparation and
hard work of her children, she did not expect such magnificent event.
"So far, the inauguration of PBI 2016 is cool and has increased from
the previous year," according to Indah Fadila, one of the lecturers of PBI
UINAM.
"The inauguration different from the others, because there are
performances percussion, handmime, and the last dance (contemporary
dance)," said one student of pharmacy department of Alauddin Makassar
State Islamic University, Ainun Nurul Asa.
In addition to praise, the event is also aging criticism. According to Nurhidayanti,
Physics student of UINAM, the break for the next performance is long enough so
the audience is made to wait and the limitations of the seats that make some guests
have to stand and sit on the floor.
